Dr. Joshua Gascoyne is a board‐certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Gascoyne earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2015 from Texas A&M College of Dentistry and attained an advanced pediatric certification from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2017 where he was chief resident and recipient of numerous awards and scholarships. Dr. Gascoyne is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. When Dr. Gascoyne is not practicing dentistry he enjoys spending time with his family.
Dr. Isabella Nguyen is a skilled pediatric dentist with a passion for working with young children. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology at the University of Alberta in 2003 and enrolled at New York University College of Dentistry in 2004. Upon graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008, she proceeded to complete her Pediatric Residency at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2010. Dr. Nguyen took her education a step further and received her Board Certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in September of 2011. Her professional memberships include the American Dental Association, The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Education Association, and the Second District Dental Society. Dr. Nguyen is fluent in Vietnamese, and loves playing the piano and spending time with her two daughters.
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Garry Hamilton Radford, Jr., is committed to making an impact on children’s lives. He firmly believes in treating each child with exceptional dental care.
Through dentistry, Dr. Radford has touched the lives of thousands of children in the Houston area. In the late 1980’s, he received national attention for discovering and reporting a child abuse case for an incident involving a pellet gun. Recently Dr. Radford’s practice, Almeda Dental Group, has become the dental home to the Houston area Chukwu Octuplets, for whom he will provide complimentary dental care until age 18.
Over the past 40 years, Dr. Radford has maintained a deep connection with his community through oral healthcare. He has designed and administered many dental service programs geared towards underprivileged youths, including the Head Start Program, the Model Cities Dental Program, the Migrant Workers Dental Program, the Follow Through Dental Program, and the Urban Development Program. Through these programs, ranging from 1969 until 1997, Dr. Radford has treated over 100,000 disadvantaged children.
A modern day pioneer, Dr. Radford was one of the first Pedodontists in Houston and one of the first African-American Pedodontists in the nation. He owns and operates one of the largest pediatric dental practices in the state of Texas. In addition, he is also one of the original cofounders of the John B. Coleman Building, formerly known as Almeda Medical Square, which was the first multi-story African-American owned medical center in Houston.
Dr. Garry Hamilton Radford, Jr. was born on October 5, 1938 in Marlin, Texas, a small city south of Waco. His father, Dr. Garry Hamilton Radford, Sr., practiced general dentistry in Waco for over 40 years, and was also the first elected African-American city councilman in Waco. As a child, Dr. Radford always dreamed that one day he would become a dentist like his father.
In 1959, Radford graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee with a B.S. degree in Mathematics. After college, he attended Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry from 1959 until 1963. When he graduated from dental school, Dr. Radford received 16 out of the 20 awards that were given, including: the Turpin Memorial Award, the American Academy of Dental Medicine Certificate of Merit, the American Academy or Oral Roentgenology Certificate of Recognition, the American Society of Dentistry for Children Certificate of Merit, the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators Achievement Award, and the Alpha Omega Fraternity Award for Excellence in Scholarship. Following dental school, Dr. Radford attended Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY, where he received his certification in pediatric dentistry along with the Outstanding Young Men of America Award in 1967.
Dr. Garry Radford belongs to a family of dentists. In addition to his father, his eldest daughter, Rhea, is a pediatric dentist as well. His second daughter, Rhonda, works alongside him as a dental hygienist.
Currently Dr. Radford serves as a board member of HealthVelocity Group, Ltd. In addition, he is also a member the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the National Dental Association, the International Association for Orthodontics, the American Academy of Head, Neck, Facial Pain, TMJ Orthodontics, the American Association for Functional Jaw Orthopedics and Board Certified by the American Academy of Chronic Pain Management.
Dr. Claudia Perez Salcines is a Board Eligible pediatric dentist who is most recognized for her gentle touch and passion for working with young children. Dr. Salcines completed her pediatric residency at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Eistein College of Medicine and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Salcines understands the importance of creating a positive and fun atmosphere to alleviate fear and anxiety and focuses on engaging and educating her young patients to empower them with the tools they need to build strong and healthy smiles. Dr. Salcines is fluent in Spanish and when she is not practicing dentistry enjoys spending time with her family.
Dr. Kyle Sanders is a board-certified pediatric dentist with 25 years of dental experience. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Xavier University, Dr. Sanders was accepted into Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. While there, Dr. Sanders was the recipient of the Meharry College School of Dentistry Scholarship and attained her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1996. Dr. Sanders validated her expertise by completing an intensive postgraduate General Practice Residency at Martin Luther King-Drew University in 1997 and she practiced as a general dentist for twelve years. In 2007, Dr. Sanders discovered her passion for serving children and was given the opportunity to attend a rigorous Pediatric Residency at the Bronx- Lebanon Hospital Center where she received her Pediatric Certification in 2009. Dr. Sanders is an upbeat lighthearted provider that enjoys having a playful environment for her patients. She is committed to following the guidelines set forth by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and offers nitrous oxide and oral sedation to ensure her patients are comfortable. Dr. Sanders is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics Dentistry.
